There are five (5) Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) companies that are responsible for transmitting, connecting and disconnecting your electricity to your home and reading and maintaining your home's electric meter. The TDU also maintains the lines and other equipment used to transmit electricity. Your bill from your REP will include delivery charges from your TDU, which cover the operational costs associated with maintaining the equipment that delivers electricity to your home.
